Serena has decades of experience in financial services regulation and compliance. She started her career as a Graduate at Barclays in London, initially as a corporate banker before switching into organisational design – followed by a new role at KPMG, helping to grow their Financial Services Regulatory Practice team. Serena was able to transform the team from embryonic to market leader within 3 years.
Serena then took her talents to Deutsche Bank, as COO and Head of Legal & Compliance for Maxblue, the company’s investment platform. Within 9 months, Serena was able to implement the key operational structures and business practices required for the company to secure an Irish Banking licence and begin trading. Serena then moved to Ernst & Young as an Executive Consultant & Operations Director, where she created their Financial Services Regulatory Advisory Practice. During her time there, Serena took a team of 10 to over 150 consultants.
Following this, Serena became a partner at Mazars LLP, one of the largest audit, accounting and advisory firms. At Mazars, she founded their Financial Services Regulatory Practice, building out their regulatory practice model. Initially focused on the UK, the model was to be rolled out across the European practices within the partnership.
Currently, Serena holds INED positions at ICICI Bank and Kroo Bank, acting as Consumer Duty Champion at both banks. Outside of this, she is the Vice-Chair of the Membership Committee at The Naval & Military Club (the “In & Out”) a private members’ club based in London.

“CourtCorrect is a game changing proposition. Under Consumer Duty firms recognise the need to integrate a deep understanding of customer complaints into the business’s dealings with the customer and - essential to attaining the outcomes under Consumer Duty - demonstrate consistent treatment of customers in the complaints process, ensure staff competence and then take that learning back into all stages of the product redesign/design and training to make the customer’s journey seamless.
