We at CourtCorrect are delighted to share the news that Amir Ali OBE, a member of our advisory board, has recently been appointed to the Association of Consumer Support Organisations (ACSO) as a senior advisor.
He brings with him a wealth of experience from his previous positions, including being the immediate past Chairman of the Civil Court Users Association (CCUA), CEO of Remote Court Users (RCU) and of course on the CourtCorrect board.
At CourtCorrect, our commitment to revolutionising the AI Complaints space is intrinsically aligned with ACSO’s mission of promoting a fair, competitive, and sustainable civil justice system. By integrating advanced AI technology into our complaint and dispute resolution processes, we are not only streamlining the way civil disputes are managed but also enhancing accessibility and efficiency for consumers.
In his new role at ACSO, Amir will contribute strategic and tactical advice, aiding ACSO and its members in their mission to elevate chronic issues in the civil justice system to higher public and political prominence.
Amir expressed his enthusiasm for ACSO’s approach to issue management and is keen to actively support its public policy agenda. He highlighted the pressing need for reform in civil justice, a system he described as a "cinderella service". This reform is especially vital as the UK’s legal system has recently seen a decline in its global standing, slipping from 13th to 20th in the World Justice Project’s rankings.
Amir joins a panel of ACSO experts, including independent director Crispin Passmore and legal specialists Daniel Bates and John Cuss. Together, they have been instrumental in addressing critical issues like court delays and fixed cost regimes, making a tangible impact.
About Amir Ali OBE: Amir Ali is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Credit Management and sits on both its Think Tank and Technical Committee. With over 37 years of experience in the legal and enforcement sectors, he has made significant contributions, including assisting the Ministry of Justice with the integration of Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) into the courts. In 2022, he was awarded as Officer of the Order of the British Empire for his services to court users and the law.
About ACSO: Established in January 2019, ACSO is a not-for-profit organisation representing the interests of consumer claimants in the UK’s civil justice system. Its mission is to engage constructively with key stakeholders to ensure a fair, competitive, and sustainable civil justice system, leading to better consumer outcomes.
